Castelli Sanremo S Speed Suit

The Castelli Sanremo S Speed Suit is the most recent version of the Castelli Speed Suit. The new Sanremo S is even more aerodynamic than the Sanremo Speed Suit that made its debut in 2011 at Paris-Roubaix. The fabrics and design of Sanremo S are made with record lightweight fabric that maximizes cooling and ensures body moisture evaporates instantly. The top part of the speed suit uses Castelli’s fastest Aero Race 8S Jersey with seams placed to provide the maximum aerodynamic advantage. The shoulder fabric saves 6% in wind tunnel testing. The bottom is designed from Castelli’s newest and fastest Free Aero Race S Bibshort. Made of Castelli’s fastest Aero-optimized Forza 2 Stretch fabric, the bibshorts fit race tight but ensure complete freedom to move. The bibshorts save 3% in wind tunnel testing. The legs stay in place with Silicone leg grippers that are so comfortable, they are barely noticeable. For ease to access extra ventilation and when you need a nature break, the suit opens completely in the front. Castelli uses the Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad for comfort during the toughest rides or races. The padding is thickest in areas of the seat that need the most protection. The padding gradually thins so you have the protection you need but without the bulk which could interfere with fast pedaling legs. In warm racing weather, air flows through the seat pad’s skin layer along with the multi-density padding. The airflow helps keep you cool and dry for hours at a time. The four-way stretchy, seamless skin layer adjusts to the shape of your body and saddle so you don’t get saddle sores and you stay comfortable.
