Castelli Free W Tri Short

Every feature in the Castelli Free Women’s Tri Short has been to make a woman triathlete comfortable and fast in all three legs of a triathlon. Tri-shorts may be the most difficult to perfect because they have to be made with a strong, stretchy fabric that can’t absorb much water on the swim. The seat pad has to be sufficiently padded so a female triathlete is well protected in the TT position, while the same padding doesn’t chafe on the run. Castelli was able to combine the right fabrics with a woman-specific design to create a pair of tri-shorts that a woman could swim in without restriction, ride a bike in and be exceptionally aerodynamic and protected and then finish off with a run where the padding doesn’t get in the way and the shorts wick sweat to keep a her dry. Flat lock stitching is very soft against the skin and the GIRO leg gripper has the elastic sewn into the fabric so the shorts stay comfortably in place. For food, 2 small pockets on hip are easy to access. The SnapLock fastener can connect the shorts and top so the two pieces stay in place on the swim, bike and run.
