Mirinda Carfrae needed a lightweight pair of shorts that protected her on the bike, but didn’t weigh her down in the swim or rub against her skin on the run. These shorts are designed for the woman who wants to take on three sports over long distances. The Instadry Speed fabric is aerodynamic in the swim without absorbing excess water and weighing down the female triathlete. Air and water move fast on the back while wicking sweat to keep the female triathlete dry. The SnapLock fastener at waist can be clipped to jersey so the short and jersey stay in place on all three legs of the triathlon. The liner is a little bigger and thicker than in most tri shorts so the woman is protected on longer time trial efforts. What’s so amazing is that the padding is still not felt on the run. On the run, the padding nearly disappears. The other tri specific feature of the padding is its minimal absorption of water in the swim and its ability to stay dry on the bike and run.
