The Castelli Free Sanremo 2 Sleeveless Suit is a long-distance one-piece suit for triathletes who shift around their daily duties so they can train and race the Ironman distance. For a successful triathlon, you need the right suit. It has to fit you properly, handle the distance, the elements, and help you make the transitions with minimal entanglements. Comfort and cutting off time are two elements of a good tri-suit. Castelli engineers and Castelli pro triathletes have spent several years perfecting the speed suit. After athlete input and hours of testing, the original Sanremo upgraded into the Sanremo 2 Sleeveless Suit. In the Sanremo 2, it’s easier to lean forward, bend over, and make the transitions when compared to the traditional speed suit. The front opening has been improved. It allows for resistance-free upright running and extra ventilation. The Velocity Rev2 main body fabric fits close to skin so no water nor air will get into the Sanremo Suit to slow you down. When you are coming out of the swim, the water rolls off the suit in the transition. As you settle into leaning forward onto the TT bars and commit to pacing yourself over the 112-mile leg of the triathlon, the Velocity fabric helps you stream into the wind. You won’t chafe because the fabric moves with you, whether you are on the bike, in the water or pushing to the limits in the run. When you sweat, moisture evaporates keeping you dry on the front and the back. The well ventilated Sanremo 2 cools you down, an essential feature for suits worn on all day competitions in the sun and the heat. Treatment on the back blocks 94% of UV rays, an important quality when you are out in the sun from early morning until the late evening. The tri-specific KISS Tri chamois pad conforms to the shape of your body and position on the bike. You will have the needed padding when you are leaned forward in your time trial position. In the water and on the run, the chamois pad shifts position so it doesn’t get in the way when you kick through the water and take the weight of your body as you run in the final leg of the triathlon.
