Castelli responded to the request by making the waterproof neoprene 33% thicker and raised the shoecover height to cover the lower leg up to just under the calf muscle. Water is sealed out by the raw-cut top edge and sealed seams. Aerodynamics is provided 24/7 in these booties that are made with a very stretchy fabric that ensures they fit perfectly over your cycling shoes making them very easy to slip onto your feet. The zipper closing the rear of the cycling shoe cover is sealed so no water gets your feet wet. A reflective heel provides high visibility on rainy days when the sun is covered by rain clouds.
